Once upon a time in the Magical Land of Doggie Rescue, a beautiful Princess saw a terrible sight. "Awwww that poor, old, one eyed Cocker Spaniel!", she said. "He looks so sad. I shall foster him." And so the Foster Princess gathered her loyal subjects and they set out on a Quest.
Sir Buddy was whisked away from his sad plight and brought into the awesome Castle of the Dogs where the Foster Princess took him to her bosom to love and hold and give aid whereupon a new castle could be found for the forever of his days.
But Lo! A Spell was cast upon Sir Buddy whilst he lay ensconced in the Royal Kennel, for when he did quit his lodgings at break of day, a Merry, Mischievous Spirit had enscorcelled him! A Parti Cocker of the Ticking Clan, it has been said.
Sir Buddy, the old, one eye sad creature was no more! In his place, a Merry, Playful Imp did live, with Princely, high stepping ways and the True Sight of a Hunter.
The Foster Princess nearly swooned as he leapt and bounded about, sniffing and running, and, Forsooth! Playing! Her eye must always be upon him and a magical rope was sent for to place upon a Silver Collar about his neck to keep him ever at her side.
But her loyal subjects, ever faithful, did promise aid and with that promise the Foster Princess sighed with great relief. She vowed to banish all mischievous spirits forevermore from her Kingdom and Castle and in their place only the mundane and behaved spirits shall reside - and those that dislike balls and peevish games of "Fetch".
The Foster Princess in the Land of Doggie Rescue has learned her lesson.
